Original German military Flecktarn camo flak vest used during altercations and for field exercises, this is not a bullet proof vest and should not be used as such. Features side entry, adjustable shoulders, removable padding, pocket and gear rings. One size fits up to a 46" Chest, used good condition. Grade II.

All Military surplus products are used, the condition of the products varies, and the quantities may be limited. Unfortunately, we can not accept backorders or returns on any surplus products. Surplus condition scale:
Grade I – Used in like new to excellent condition. Grade II – Used in good condition, may show minor use.
Grade III – Used in fair condition, will show normal wear and tear from daily use.

Great Value! Appears to be briefly issued, but not really used. In excellent shape, maybe washed once or twice so the colors aren't vibrant, but no horrible smell, no rips, no holes, and very wearable right out of the box. I am 6'2" 240 with a 48+ chest and I can still use it. Its a little snugger than when they originally designed it, being an over-the-clothes vest as opposed to a concealed vest, but doesn't restrict my movement or breathing when wearing a regular layer, tshirt or sweatshirt underneath. It appears to be the same "weight" of panels as I have in my Class II conceal vest I bought used on ebay for twice the price and just mediocre condition.

After reading several reviews of people who have shot these with small arms, I ordered three on Wednesday afternoon and they arrived today (Friday afternoon)! Two are dated '94 and look brand new, with no fading or wear at all. The other is dated '87 and other than some fading, it's in great shape. None have any smell or damage. At this price, these are a great deal. 5 bullets.

I ordered my vest and love it. I'm 6' 240 lbs and out of shape; it fits me snug though. No rips, great condition, all dated 1995. Great value.

I bought this not knowing if I could actually fit into it or not, given that I am 6'2" 235 lbs. and have a 50" chest, figuring I could at least use the panels to beef up a NIJ Class II concealable vest I already own, even if the carrier didn't fit. Well, I was pleasantly surprised all the way around. The carrier did fit, albeit snugly. It can expand past a 46" chest by cheating the Velcro overlaps by about an inch each and still protect all vital areas. I think the 46" size allows enough slop to wear a couple layers of thicker BDU type clothes underneath, so if I wear just a thin layer, like a t-shirt or sweatshirt, it fits very well with all the Velcro aligned. Thicker layers will require me to cheat them a little, but still very wearable. The flack panels are comprehensive in terms of wrap around, high on the neck front and back, collar and deltoid protection. Much more so than my Level II Xtreme Armor concealable vest, so now I have a concealable vest and a SHTF flack jacket that should defeat most common handguns from penetration, even if there may still be blunt trauma from the impact that wouldn't pass a NIJ test for Level II or III. They feel no different than the flexible plates in my concealable vest, although the labels are in German, which I don't read or speak, and of course no NIJ label. I'm not planning on shooting it to conduct my own tests, sorry. The carrier itself was a little faded (-1 bullet), not badly at all, from age or maybe laundering a couple times, but did not smell or have any rips or tears. The Velcro fasteners appear unused, but there was a name inside the vest, so it must have been issued but not worn very often. The quality of the carrier is much better than my Xtreme Armor vest, with full zippered pouches for the armor plates that will keep them in the right place, good quality fabric, and Velcro attachments. At this price, you should consider one for every family member when stocking up your SHTF supplies!

I just received my Flak vest today and it looked brand new out of the box. I smelled it because many of the reviews I read said they come with a funk, but mine had no smell. All of the Aramid inserts were dated 1995, and the shell was absolutely perfect and dated 1995. If I hadn't been told it was used, I would've never guessed. This vest fits perfectly and looks amazing. Fits right over the top of my police surplus type III-A Kevlar vest without any problems. This is a steal for the price. I am totally happy with this vest. Shipped in five days (I chose 3-5 day ground) and was well worth the wait! Way to go, CTD!
