Braided nylon parachute cord, with seven strands of nylon liner, can be used for fishing, snares, or sewing. The soft braided outer shell is durable yet cushioned, allowing this cord to be flexible so it is the perfect wrap for knife handles, spears, and survival gear. Mil-spec standard USA production and super quality.

Parachute cord, also called paracord or 550 cord, is a lightweight nylon kernmantle rope originally used in the suspension lines of US parachutes during World War II. It is now used as a general purpose utility cord by both military personnel and civilians. The braided sheath has a high number of interwoven strands for its size, giving it a relatively smooth texture. The all nylon construction makes paracord fairly elastic.

US Military issue paracord is specified the MIL-C-5040H standard. The Mil-Spec specifies six types: I, IA, II, IIA, III, IV. Type III, the most common, is nominally rated with a minimum breaking strength of 550 pounds, thus the term "550 cord". The US military specification for paracord contains specific denier figures for the sheath strands and inner yarns, but there are no overall diameter requirements for the cord.

Awesome and very cheap. have had a spool for nearly two years and I use it for many, many things. I have woven/tied survival bracelets and keychains, utility cord, shoelace replacements, engineered repairs, anything you can use rope for.

This cord is very durable, I highly reccomend it!! You can't beat the price either!! Only gripe I have is when I measured my cord, it was shorted on both spools, I was missing about 350 ft between 2 rolls. If you buy this product, measure it, even though it is tedious, you may get shorted as I did!!

I want to tell everyone that this is the best cord for the money. we use a lot of it in the military and it has so many uses. It lasts for a long time will not stretch out on you at all. good product!! thanks
