M1 Carbine magazine pouch constructed of cotton with snap closures on front and a male snap on the inside sleeve that slides over the buttstock. Marked "US", this is the correct style and pattern to accompany your weapon, current production, imported. Pouch holds two 10 round stripper clips when attached to the gun, or two 10 round magazines when attached to a belt. The original design of this pouch was to wear on a belt, pack, or vest this is the reason it has a snap on the inside of the sleeve.

I bought this because I needed to carry 2 15 round magazines either on the stock of my M1 or on my belt. Won't hold 15 round mags on the stock but they'll fit perfectly on your belt. I'd buy another if needed.

There are some mixed reviews, so I wasn't really sure how this pouch would work out. I'm happy to say that it is snugly on the stock of my Auto Ordnance with two 15 round mags in it! The trick to making this work seems to be removing the snap from the belt loop. I held the snap with pliers and ran a 3/16 drill through the center until it came apart. After that I was able to slide the pouch over the butt and down to the smallest part of the stock. Then I inserted the mags, snapped the flap and slid it back until it was tight. It's tight, accessible and it works great! In fact, it works so well that I don't mind the hole where the snap was!

I bought one of these almost a year ago for my Auto-Ordnance carbine, and wanted to get plenty of shooting time in with it before I posted a review. This pouch seems well made and fits my carbine well. I had to remove the stock in order to get it on, but that means that the sleeve wont slide off and become lost. The 15 round magazines do fit, but they're tight. The pouch looks good on the rifle and makes for a comfortable cheek rest. It does slightly change the balance of the rifle, but that may not be a bad thing depending on personal preference. This pouch also has a snap on the inside of the sleeve, which could scratch you stock, but my stock still looks good after almost a year. I do not know the purpose of this snap but I assume it has something to do with a different form of mounting that I am not familiar with. All in all, I think it is a good product that I will recommend, and even if you decide that you don't like it on your stock, you can always wear it on your belt.

After i figured out the way to put it on it slid right into place. I thnik it is great and it gives the carbine a great look also. While on the gun it only will accept the stripper clips. On a belt though it will hold two mags.

I found another use, works great on a Ruger 10/22. It can hold two 50 round cardboard boxes of .22 ammo.
