US military style WWII weapons case used from 1940's to 1960's for M1 Carbine rifles, padded, tan heavy canvas case with reinforced edges and ends similar to the one used by US troops to store and transport their battle rifles. Had looked at this case for a LONG time before I ordered it. It is like it was made for my 10/22 and I love it. By reading some of the other posts, I knew to wax the zipper with candle wax and have had no issues with it. As with all my orders from ctd, came in a timely manner. Wish that they made a case like this for all my long guns.

About the only thing I can fault this for is that the description says it is like the case in which the GIs carred their "battle rifles." No, the M1 Carbine was not a "battle rifle." That was the M1 Garand. For a repoduction case, this is excellent. It is sturdy, well padded, and the large metal zippers will hold up well. The carrying strap is sturdy as well. There is plenty of room to allow the M1 Carbine to be slipped inside even with the two-magazine pouch attached to the stock. I now have two of these; one for my M1 Carbine, and one for my Iver Johnson (Emma Werke) .22 caliber training version of the M1 Carbine. Very nice.

Fit's my M1 carbine great. Zipper seems to work well and zips up all the way. Overall worth the money.

This is a great addition to my 30 carbine, zipper issue seems to be resolved. My standard carbine fits easily inside and it looks great. I am very happy with the purchase. My Ruger 10-22 with a varmint scope also fits easily inside. I plan to buy another case for it.
