USGI M1 carbine type III sling and oiler. The oiler is designed to hold the end of the carbine sling in the buttstock while the other end attaches to the barrel band. This replica is nearly identical to the original government issue sling and oiler. Sling overall length is adjustable between 22" and 37.5", 1" width. Oiler specs : overall length 2.30 " , 0.44" diameter.

I ordered this item a while back for my CMP Inland Carbine. The quality of both the sling and the oiler is good. The metel on the sling has a tendency to begin to rust, so keep them oiled. The oiler fit the stock fine and has NEVER fallen out. Yet another great buy from Cheaper Than Dirt!

I purchased this sling for my Iver Johnson M-1 clone, manufactured in the late 70's-80's, chambered in 22 caliber and it fit perfectly. Nice quality and fast shipping.

These arrived in brand new condition and very quickly. The oiler is high quality and has a very nice o-ring inside to prevent leaks. The oiler lid has a metal applicator built into it, which i was not expecting and found to be a nice surprise. The sling was in perfect condition as well. it was not bent and all of the buckle pieces were there. I agree with one of the other reviews that the canvas on this sling seems too new to be original WWII, but it is in brand new condition.

Recieved my order yesterday. shipping was fast. packaging was good, and the quality was excellent. I had it installed in about ten minutes. the o-ring seal on the oiler was great. it looks great on my universal M1. its a great addition for any M1.
