USGI M1 carbine type III sling and oiler. The oiler is designed to hold the end of the carbine sling in the buttstock while the other end attaches to the barrel band. This replica is nearly identical to the original government issue sling and oiler. Sling overall length is adjustable between 22" and 37.5", 1" width. Oiler specs : overall length 2.30 " , 0.44" diameter.

This is a decent sling for the money. My carbine was thrown together and has a repop stock. This sling and oiler are not bad at all. Would recommend.

This reproduction is a good functional replacement for a worn or missing M1 Carbine sling. But it is the later design, having the full metal tabs on the ends rather than the U-shapped tabs found on most original WW-II era slings. So the claim that it is correct for both WW-II and Korea is not fully correct. It is only correct for later WW-II slings and Korean War slings. Reproductions, as well as originals, for the early slings are available if you want your M1 Carbine to look like most WW-II M1 Carbines. If you simply want a good sling that works on an M1 Carbine, this will certainly serve you well.
