1.0 Rating BAD MAGS - 6/12/2007
Reviewer: UZI OFFICER
MY DEPARTMENT PURCHASED APPROXIMATELY SIX UZI MAGS FROM CTD. OF THE SIX, ONE PERFORMED AS A MAG SHOULD. THE OTHERS WOULD NOT FEED THE WEAPON. THE MOUTH OF THE MAGS ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE IMI MAGS, BUT I'M NOT SURE IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM OR IF IT IS A SPRING ISSUE. AS I WAS SAYING, THE MAGS WOULD NOT FEED THE WEAPON PROPERLY, THE MAGS DIDN'T SEAT IN THE WELL, AND THE BULLETS WOULD NOT FEED CORRECTLY INTO THE WEAPON. THE BULLETS IN THE MAG APPEARED TO NOSE DOWN INTO THE MAG, WHICH WOULD NOT FEED THE BULLET INTO THE CHAMBER. ALSO WHILE FIRING, THE MAGAZINE WOULD COME UNSEATED AND FALL TO THE GROUND. MYSELF AND OTHER OFFICERS ATTEMPTED TO USE THE MAGS IN THE WEAPON, ALL HAVING SIMILAR RESULTS. THE FACTORY MAGS AND ONE OF THE FIFTY ROUNDERS FIRED FINE, BUT THE OTHER FIVE WERE NOT GOOD.

I bought 2 of these mags and neither clicks into grip nor do they allow the bolt to roll forward for chambering any rounds. Defective!

3.0 Rating Needs work but in the end - 12/1/2008
Reviewer: M
Ok so I got 5 of these and they all as others have said were worthless. But after I sent on to a Uzi expert he modified it to fit and it works. So I proceeded to modify the others and now they all work like a charm. Here is what needs to be done. (1) make the latch on the side bigger towards the top by clipping 1/16" ( not exact but just a small clip with wire cutter will suffice )metal on each corner and bending out and get cutting like a nail the exposed metal. Sand so u do not hurt your fingers. Do not leave metal exposed - mag may get stuck in grip requiring a removal of grip panels to remove and fix. (2) Open the throat on top a bit. Basicall bend the throat out some by grasping with pliers and lightly bending open and out. Give it a very slight curve outward where the bullet feeds. Yes that is all it takes. They now feed in FA all day.
