Black polymer, detachable magazine holds 20 rounds of 7.62x39 ammo and fits all SKS variants that we have seen. Designed to securely fit composite stocks, this magazine will work in wood stock variations with slight modification to the magazine opening. In order for the magazine to fit properly in the wooden stock version, the opening must be enlarged slightly for a proper fit. Easy to install.

The only way I was able to get the spring to support 20 rounds was to take them out & stretch them. Now they have enough tension to push the rounds up & feed reliably. Tapco should have stronger springs in these (like they do in their 20 round AK mags).

I bought 3 of these 20 round Tapco mags for my Norinco SKS because of the good reviews. The more I shoot through them the worse they get. They were jamming right off the bat, now I get different odd jams about 3 or 4 times on each mag. I think I'm going to see if I can find a good 30 round steel one.

Unlike the garbage Pro mag sells, Tapco got it right with this magazine. It's a wonder why Cheaper than Dirt continues to sell Promag mags to their customers given the lousy feedback those mags have received. Buy Tapco and forget the Promag garbage.
