I've owned several different brands of mags for my Mini-14, from Ruger on down the line. This is by far the best "no name" mag I've purchased. I purchased two and both work perfectly - no malfunctions, etc. AND c'mon, the cool factor. THEY'RE STRAIGHT. They just look so darn cool and function while doing so. Solid construction. Good mag.

This mag looks better than it feeds. Will not feed a round in my 581 series Ranch Blue w/wood.

Magazine had some initial issues fitting into the magazine well properly. I have the newer mini with ATI stock. After about an hour's worth of inserting/removing fits just as good as factory mags. Reliability is 100 percent and is just as good as factory mags but with a m14 style.

I got this magazine to get that classic look out of my mini, but turns out it works great. I fired brass and steel case ammo through it in my 581 series mini-14, and had no issues. One thing I did notice is that when you pull ammo out from it, the next round does not "snap" up as quick as the factory 20rd magazine, but this is probably because it is straight and not curved like the factory ones. I am pleased!

Mag worked just fine in my new model Mini 14. Base-plate is not removable, or at least not easily removable. I absolutely love the looks.

Have had a few jams running these straight mags, follower sticks. Get the curved ones instead.

Solid mags and fed nicely. They get a three because the blueing on these are poor, and will rust very easily. So make sure you wipe them down regularly.

Ordered 2 of these and they work great in my 186 series Mini. Good solid fit, flawless feed, and a great look. I'll be getting a few more of these!

This mags make any tactical/ 580 folding stock, look like it's ready for some serious duty. However, magazines are difficult to load with the bolt closed. Both of the magazines I had purchased pushes the last two rounds out of chamber. Feeds well with less than 18rds, but the last two always fail to load.

The mag looked nice when I got it, and fit my 580 series mini great. It works decent with only 10 rounds in but more than that and the follower sticks inside the mag. The feed lips were also out of whack but with some tweeking I got them right. With a factory spring and follower I think it would work good. Only gave it two billets because I had to work on it and it will not work at full capacity.

I bought one of these to try them out. I absolutely love the look, these make your mini look amazing. (Save the bannana mags for the AK) I do not like the performance though, when going through the mag, it will miss-feed and jam your gun at least once, and as much as 5 times out of the 20 rounds. All in all, only good for shooting at the range! (maybe I got a bad one) I have a 580XXX mini (the new one) and it fits great in there but even when loading it I can tell it is a bit cheap.

I bought this mag for my 181 series mini, it was dificult to insert. I had to bump the bottom of the mag vigorously to get it to latch into position. When the mag was inserted the action would not cycle because the bolt caught on the mag lips and jammed about halfway. The bolt was scraping metal off the mag feed lips if I forced the action shut. I tried the same mag in my brothers 187 series mini, and it snapped into place easily and the action functioned flawlessly. It appears if you have an older mini this mag is not for you, but if you have one of the newer rifles this mag will work. I bought a new promag 20 round mag to replace this one and it worked fine in my older rifle, although it was hard to latch the first few times.

These 20rd mags work flawlessly in my 580-series Mini-14. They look like M1A mags, with similar shape and finish. The only reason I didn't give these mags five stars was because they don't load rounds into the mags quite as smoothly as Ruger factory mags. But they function fine and give the Mini-14 a better appearance.
