1.0 Rating You are better of passing on these. - 11/15/2006

I cannot recommend this item. I had one a while ago and the rounds would constantly nosedive leading to malfunctions. I think it is because the springs are weak. You would better off buying a bunch of 10 round magazines (Item# MAG-354) from CTD.

2.0 Rating the problem with these - 1/18/2007
Reviewer: Logan
A friend gave me a bunch of these when I got my new spring field if you look at the block of metal on the mag for the rifle to catch on and compare it to springfield magazines you'll see its about half as thick as it should be. Maybe it will work on another brand of rifle, but if your buying for a springfield you need some metal working equipment and experience.

1.0 Rating Not Worth Your Life - 2/16/2007
Reviewer: OneLegPaddy
These are very thin skinned mags that may damage easily. In addition, the catch on the rear upper portion of the mag is merely stamped through and prone to bend, while mil. spec. mags have a beefy tab spot-welded in place. I've yet to see anyone come up with any reliable 30 round mags and would just opt to pay top dollar for mil. spec. 20 round mags. Especially when it comes to my survival.

1.0 Rating If you like volcanos, you'll love these - 5/18/2008
Reviewer: Ham Lover
If you like volcanos, you'll love these. That about sums up what they’re good for. Maybe your kids can use them for a volcano science project. I bought 5 of them and none worked properly. After firing the first round, while the bolt was back during normal cycling of the M1A, from 2 to 3 more rounds just flied out of the magazine. Is this due to improper feed lips? I don’t know. But like OneLegPaddy says, they aren’t worth your life. They aren’t even good enough to practice with. Save your money. Just in case there was excessive grease or dirt inside them, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and took a couple of them apart and completely cleaned them out. Then I very lightly lubricated them with just a thin layer of gun oil applied with a cloth. I then made the mistake of loading them the day before going to the range. The next day when I went to the range, only the first 10 or so rounds even had a chance to misfeed about half the time. Why? Because the springs had taken such a bad set to them from being fully loaded over one night that the springs couldn’t even push the last rounds in the magazine up to the feed lips. How can such things even be called springs? Buy these only if you want to through them at something. Rocks are cheaper than dirt.

5.0 Rating Macash - 12/6/2008
Reviewer: Macash
Read the reviews and feel compelled to add mine. I ordered 2 30 rounders and have never had a malfunction in either one. I cannot and have not found any problems with this mag and have shot approx. 200 out of each. Sorry you guys got a bad batch...maybe yours were made on a Fri. or a Monday..who knows.
