After reading the reviews, I ordered four. I have two Series 2 models. Magazines work flawlessly in either. The previously mentioned projection is not that much larger than my stock mags. Great item.

Fits my inherited Colt Match Target perfectly. Ser.# six digits and a letter. Don't know how hold the weapon is. Well made by colt. Original mag. misplaced years ago. Now can put back in use.

These mags fit and funtion flawlessly in my Colt woodsman 2nd gen (1954 model). However I could only get 9 rounds in the magazine. Not a big deal to me. I might could force the 10th one in, but I doubt it would pick up the first round because it would be in there so tight. If not for that these mags would be 5 stars.

Bought 5 for a couple of colt woodsman early series 2 side release pistols. Work just fine. The bottom of mag sticks out in the front of the lower grip, but if it bothers me I'll trim it off. gun works just like original mag, but way cheaper than an original mag

I puchased these from CTD and placed them in safe. I attempted to use a few months later in Colt 22 (Cadet) and they are inoperative. The button on the side of follower is shorter (by 1/8") than the units delivered with guns. The shorter button does not allow for proper engagement with slide release mechanism. If you set slide back, a loaded mag might be able to be inserted in gun but will never hold back slide on last shot, and mechanical interference causes difficulty in mage removal. Colt produced "out of spec" mags for all model numbers 58345 which these magazines were.
