Extremely reliable and durable AR-15 magazine at a great price.

Collecting input from military, law enforcement, and civilian shooters, TAPCO has designed a magazine that can be depended on from a trip to the firing range to deployment overseas.

Molded of reinforced composite with aggressive horizontal ridges that provide increased gripping surface for insertion and extraction of the magazine in wet or muddy conditions. This also helps to eliminate feed lip separation.

The anti tilt follower has been designed to allow more dirt and grime to pass than any other magazine on the market. This allows the magazine to keep feeding ammo, despite loose dirt or sand that may have entered the magazine.

The spring is made using a 1770 Stainless steel wire, featuring a unique shape for smoother, quieter loading through all 30 rounds. It also reduces overall stress on the magazine body, preventing spine cracks.

I purchased these mags several months ago and haven't put too many rounds through them. Figuring there is no reason to have empty mags, I have kept them loaded. With a little moving around, the ammunition sprays out of the mag. The plastic feed lips appear too weak for long use. Don't think it is to unreasonable to expect a mag to go the long haul loaded.

I bought one of these to test it. Fired around 120 rounds through, quick-firing, shoot and move practice. Firing a DPMS AR-15, mag inserted and dropped with ease. Rapidly inserting mag, dropping it straight from the mag well into the rocks and dirt... flawless function. Lighter and easier to handle than the metal mags and comparable (and less expensive) to the popular Magpul of similar design (and I have 9 of those). I will be stocking up on these soon.

Lot's of rounds thru two of them and zero issues. My only problem WAS they would not drop free (even full) until I installed the Magpul trigger guard ( ARR-893 ), now they are a five bullet item.
