Just received 2 of these cans. Great stuff. If you read the directions it calls for tape security around the lid if used on a vertical wall or attached upside down. Being a lifelong redneck, I know the value of "Alabama Chrome"(That's duct tape to all you city boys) Each can comes with a moisture indicator inside showing percentage of moisture absorbtion. Thanks again CTD for another great product. To all the investors out there; buy more ammo!

I have two of these desiccants, one for each of my safes that I've been using for around six months and both are on the side of my safe's doors. Unlike the previous reviewer, I didn't have any problems with the lid staying on with either of them, so he/she might have gotten a faulty one. I'm actually back to order another. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an indicator to show when it's saturated. I solved that with a GNS-017 for each of my safes which has the dual purpose of showing humidity and temperature.

The desiccant beads are in an easily deformed perforated metal can with a magnet on the bottom. The lid slips on the base. There is nothing to hold the lid in place securely. Inside my gun safe the only practical place for this desiccant is sticking it to the door. But, the can is only suitable to be placed lid up. My solution was to force a couple of small brads (nails) through a couple of the perforations to secure the lid to the base and then stick it to the door. Of course, I bent the can doing this.
