Used by NATO coalition troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, these scarves serve as a head cover as well as to shield the mouth and nose from blowing dust and sand. Also works well when worn around the neck to prevent rubbing and chafing from slings, body armor, and load bearing vests.

be sure to soak and rinse several times, thses make great wind blocks during long boat rides, use with goggles or around your neck with a helmet, have 2 and will get more for friends, almost too hot to wear indoors, wear loosly in summer to refract light and heat, great item.

Bought one of these for my husband & upon it's arrival I spent 2 hours fixing the frayed ends in the hope that it would stop falling apart! We were both very disappointed with the quality of this product. The sides are already starting to fall apart & the ends are pulling & unraveling themselves. We were both hoping for a more durable product!

Not at all what I expected. Polyester, very thin, already unraveling on the ends.

I got two and I think there just fine. When you use them around your neck there plenty warm and when you use them for a head wrap there thin enough to breath. Don't fear the washing machine. I put mine in on low setting with extra rinse and threw them in the dryer on low with no problem. I'm not hand washing anything. If it can't handle the machine wash, it's going in the rag bin.

I previously wrote about how lame these shemaghs are...I'm happy to report that CTD refunded my total purchase price no questions asked the very next day.
