Well when I first saw it in the catalog I was wondering how good it was. There was already a review on it and it didn't sound good but for the price I took a gamble on it. In three days it was here, it was folded and looked sort of cheap. I must say I have had it for awhile before putting my two cent into this. It sheath my Rossi 92 lever action and I must admit it is nothing fancy but you can't tell it was folded up in a box and I does look nice and easy to take care of. For the money I would say it was a good deal and I would buy another if need be.

It is simple but works, like everything else that comes out of Mexico. Thin plain leather with stamped buckles. The straps dont seem very strong but it has been on my saddle for 2 years carrying lever actions to octagon barrel muzzleloaders. With the proper leather care, i believe it will continue to last. The thin leather allows for staining with different colors.

I've purchased many excellent items from CTD, unfortunately this was not one. I expected a semi-rigid leather scabbard, when it arrived folded up in a small box, I knew that wasn't good. The leather is very thin and is NOT something that I'll ever trust to strap on my saddle! Yes, as stated it's leather, but very poor quality hide and tanning. Unfortunately, I advise all to stay away from this item.
