5.0 Rating Good Buy - 8/27/2008

I have several speed loaders for other revolvers but i needed one for my five shot, S&W J Frame. The loader is well made and when you lock the rounds in there is no play in them, which prevents that irritating rattle you get when walking or running. The loader works well and is thin enough to use with the over molded grips I have on the gun. All in all I would recommend these to any one who is looking. As always Cheaper Than Dirt got my package to me promptly and without any issues.

5.0 Rating Excellent product - 9/5/2007

The HKS speed loader has a little "wiggle" room for the cartridges. Once the cartridges are locked into the speedloader, they move back and forth a little. When you are trying to hit the back of the cylinder with your reload and don't hit it perfectly, a little twist and wiggle will let the cartridges line up with the chambers. It may sound sloppy, but it really is pretty quick. I've used this model, the 10-A, and the 586-A, and they all work the in the same way.

4.0 Rating Beware J Frame - 9/11/2007

I've owned 3 different models and they work well. My 1970's vinatge Chiefs Special is tough to use. Cylinder release latch is tall and interferes with correct alignment of speed loader with cylinder. If you wiggle and turn cylinder rapidly you can get it work. Despite problems it does work and is faster than loading one at a time. Tried safariland and it has same problem.

4.0 Rating HKS 36A SPEEDLOADER - 8/31/2008
Reviewer: Bandit
I love this speedloader. I use this model for my Ruger SP101 and have had no problems feeding rounds into the cylinder. While some people prefer semi-autos for carry...I prefer the little 5-shot SP with the HKS Speedloaders. I just drop one in my pocket when I carry the Ruger and I have 10 rounds of .357 Mag ammo for personal defense (for me and my family.) I prefer the .357 Mag for personal protection b/c it has the best single shot stop available and using HKS Speedloaders makes reloading a breeze!
