I bought another one of these cause I just think they're cool, and make a nice display item with some other Russian military stuff I have. While the first one I got was brand new never issued, the second one was a Grade II +. Don't get me wrong, I'm VERY happy with the purchase, just saying that you should expect to get a Grade II helmet, and perhaps the Grade I new helmets that some reviewers have received were just flukes. Either way, the helmet had some minor scuffs, no dents, and needed a cleaning. Lots of dirt inside, as well as outside, but no big deal, and just shows that it was used!

I bought this helmet just cause it's so cheap, and cause I thought it would be a great conversation piece. I would have been fine with a somewhat used helmet in Grade II condition, but I ended up with a PERFECT helmet, still wrapped in the original wax paper. Your experience may differ, but the one I got was absolutely new, and much better than expected!

This helmet is awesome. Catalog and website state Grade II Condition but they are wrong. The helmet I received is practically brand new. One minor nick but that is all. Liner is like new. Awesome product. I also purchased the Swiss M71 helmet (great purchase too) and these two helmets are the start of my collection.
