5.0 Rating Custom handgun at a budget price - 11/12/2013
Reviewer: Bigjoba
My friend raved about how accurate his RIA tactical shot. I was skeptical until I shot a few mags with his. This model, the Tactical II had more of the features I wanted for competative shooting, without having to upgrade the entire pistol. Once I found it available at just over $500 shipped to my FFL, I went for it. Three days later it was in my hands and let me tell you, it was worth every penny. Only one range session and it was shooting quarter size groups at 10 yards, shooting offhand. It is as accurate as 1911's costing into the thousands and carries a lifetime warranty to boot. The only negative is that it comes with only one magazine, but for the money... it's a "tack driver".

5.0 Rating Very nice - 11/14/2013
Reviewer: San Antonio Shooter
Did tons of research on both ITS and this model. Both turned out to be well worth it. Super tight fit. Beveled mag well, checkered front strap, crisp trigger pull and aggressive cricketing on the grips. Put all that together and you get a custom started 1911 for around $500. I own five other 1911's-kimber, Springfield, two para ordnance and a Remington. This Rock Island shoots as well as all and better than most. But what do expect from a company that produces more 1911's per year than any other company in the world? Worth it. And much more.

5.0 Rating GREAT SHOOTER - 12/13/2013
Reviewer: Joey
Did a lot of research after being bitten by the 1911 bug. Quickly noticed no one said anything bad about the RIA 1911. I now have first had experience as to why. only have 100 rounds through her so far; but what a GREAT SHOOTER!!! Fit & finish are amazing. Trigger is awesome!! Sights are as good as Heinies. The magazine is not the best; but it will do for starters. As for CTD; this was my first purchase here. I ordered on Friday night. My FFL received Tuesday at noon & I was shooting Friday. They have earned repeat business!!

4.0 Rating Nice - 1/21/2014
Reviewer: Khunter19
Ordered the gun Friday and was ready to pick up on Monday. Have not shot it yet but the gun is very tight, with no loose parts. Feels good in my hands and the grip has nice grooves on it. Came with a nice hard case. The action is smooth and the trigger pull is crisp. All in all well worth the money so far just have to shoot it. Thanks CTD!!!

Well worth the money, fit and finish is great, many extras that are included: grips,FO front and adjustable rear sights, magwell, beaver tail grip safety, great warranty and customer service. Shoots better every time I've taken it to the range. Ordered on Wednesday evening, picked up at FFL on Saturday afternoon. Not my first or last RIA. Great price!
