4.0 Rating RIA M5 - 4/8/2013

Received the M5 from CTD in four days...great service! The shotgun was clean and well made as has been my experience with RIA 1911's. The first range experience took about 25 rounds (low bird shot) down the pipe to loosen up the action. The first few rounds required really slamming the slide forward to seat the round so that the trigger would release and the weapon fire. After about 40 rounds it was smoothly eating everything from high brass 2 3/4" to 3" and firing normally. Even fed it some 50 year old magnum 00's paper case shells and it really hammers. This gun can handle the heavy loads it was made worries. Overall, a good home defense weapon for the price.....just expect it to have a brief break in period and enjoy getting to know your M5.

Order this item on Sunday. My FFL dealer received on Wed - 3 days later~!! Great service. Couldn't believe how well the packaging was - box in a box. The M5 was absolutelygreat - still packed in platic and styrofoam from the manufacturer. Will have to give gun a good cleaning before using but it looks great and I'm sure it's going to be a great "shooter". Thanks CTD~~!!

3.0 Rating New M5 - 7/12/2013
Reviewer: Brunavy
I made the mistake of ordering this shotgun the Monday before the 4th of July weekend, which meant that it arrived at my local FFL the following Monday. Dispute the extended travel time, when I picked it up, the preservation oil coated the gun pretty thoroughly. Field stripped it to clean and found some wear on the internal parts already. (Mostly just paint missing on areas of metal to metal contact.) It cleaned up nicely and I will be taking it to the range next week and see how she shoots.

5.0 Rating Great Gun - 7/13/2013

Great shotgun, great price. 3day shipping even over 4th of july weekend! Heavy, solid, tough shotgun. Perfect for a self defense weapon. Functions flawlessly, smooth too. Little heavy for girlfriend to shoulder, but shes getting used to it more and more. She'll shoot it til shes bruised. Great gun, even better price.

4.0 Rating New M5 Update - 7/16/2013
Reviewer: Brunavy
After taking this shotgun to the range, I'm updating my review from 3 to 4 bullets. It did take some time breaking it in, but I shot everything from bird shot to slugs and it did a really good job. Now my only real complaint is the buttstock shell storage slot is nothing to brag about. Can't get the 2nd round in there or the spring to come back flush when I removed them.
