The design is simple and workable. Be warned that if you have a buttstock carrier for extra shells, it may not fit in the bottom portion. I had to put a block of foam in the bottom so it wouldn't rest on the shell carrier. The manufacturing quality was terrible. The back plate was not welded true to the wire so they were about 10 degrees out of level with each other. They got a big blob of solder on the back and did not remove it before they coated the rack with rubber. I had to grind that off before the unit would fit flat against the wall.

After years of propping shotguns or rifles next to the bed for night time ready access, I tried this. I was not disappointed. Keeps your long gun in a ready position if needed. Safer because it will not fall over. Can fit different size guns (but must know that before installing top portion).
