Fully adjustable Pistol Hooks(TM) attach to a wire grid, customizing the interior of any safe door and allowing easy access to your pistol. Pistol Hooks hold revolvers and semi-autos, from the smallest pocket pistols to the largest framed revolvers. The Maximizer allows air to circulate around your pistols to keep them dry, and a hydrophobic plastic coating protects their finishes. I needed to make room in my Ft Knox Guardian 600 Safe and this rack was just what I needed. Make sure you measure your safe door first. If this rack was much bigger it wouldn't have fit. It was just right for me. I had read other reviews so I already knew that others had complained about the mounting. Here is what you need to know: The rack hangs on the top of the door which is fine but when you try to fasten the rack further down there was no hardware provided. It needs to be fastened further down the door so it won't bow out. I had to use two female ends of a sliding bolt latch to clamp the rack to the bottom of the door. If you don't do this the rack will rattle around and really won't be secure. Also the box didn't come with any mounting instructions other that the pictures on the box. The hangars are well made and will protect your guns finish. I got 16 handguns on the rack including my Tec-9 and 6-inch Model629 revolver with no real issues. This is a very good pistol rack that needs about $3-$5 worth of additional hardware and some basic instructions to make it worth a 5 bullet rating.

I have a Stack-On gun cabinet safe. I removed the rear wall gun supports and installed this rack. I bent the support straight and screwed it into the wall. Now the pistols fit in there great. Far exceeds what I hoped it would do. A great buy.

The rack is pretty much as reviewed and worth the purchase price. I was able to use the self tapping screws that were provided to do the door top mounting without having to pre-drill the holes. I used two small wire clamps on each side and bottom of the rack to stabilize it to the door. I've also found that using zip ties at the bottom of the individual pistol holders stop them from wandering quite so much. (I learned this at the expense of one of my pistols hitting the deck.) I think if the manufacturer had included the $1.00 worth of hardware I used to bring the rack up to where I have it now, there would be a lot more four and five bullet reviews. Good luck, CTD'ers! This is a very flexible system. I needed more info before buying so I contacted the manufacturer. They were very helpful and they have some products that CTD doesn't carry yet. I bought this rack from CTD because it is difficult to store T/C Contenders, especially with scoped barrels. I was able to hang a scoped Contender with a 14" barrel plus 2 scoped barrels and two barrels without scopes. The #6035 "Holster" add-on rack, which CTD should add to their catalog, allowed me to move other handguns to the door and thereby free up a shelf of valuable space in my safe. The folks at Horizon were friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help.

Did not fit my 14-gun Sentry safe. I checked the measurements on the door before ordering but the measurements are for the LEDGE on the inside. My safe was about 2" too narrow. Also, the kit does not include the pouches mentioned in the description. Maybe that's just for the smaller unit. Quality looked good and I'd like to find a way to make it work but unfortunately, I'll have to send this one back. :-(

The rack is well-made and fit my Sentry Safe like a glove. I had to mount it twice. The first time I mounted it centered on the door but the door wouldn't close with guns on the outside side of the rack. After I remounted it closer to the hinge side of the door, like an inch from the edge everything fit. It would be nice if it had a hold down at the bottom, but it only moves a very little bit when the door is swung open quickly. Plenty of room for guns and other goodies. Would be nice if Cheaper than dirt sold some of the accessories, like the handgun rack #6035, but they are available elsewhere.

Easy and quick to install. It gave me a lot more room in my safe, leaving the shelf open for "other" stuff. All the pistols are quickly, easily accessible. Caution must be taken to "adjust" the location of the hangers as they or the guns can hit the shelf, when the door is closed. I was able to hang all 16 handguns. The hangers and rack are coated to protect everything. I don't know where to hang the document pouch. I don't have a need to use it anyway.

I was afraid that the hooks would be too deep and may not allow the door to shut. That was not a problem, but it may be in some safes. It took longer to put the right handguns in the right spots than it did to install the rack. No drill bit included, but no big deal. I love the Maximizer Rack. I ordered this on Saturday December 19th and it arrived on the 24th in time for Christmas!! Thanks to Cheaper Than Dirt for the fast service.

I ordered one of the Maximizer Full door racks even after reading some of the negative reviews. This is the best thing since sliced bread! Mine came with everything that it was supposed to have including the pouches. I had to get a new Titanium drill bit to cut thru the steel (an old one didn't do it) but other than that it is great. I have immediately gained at least 40% of my safe back. The most difficult problem I had was getting the pistols in the right place so the door would close. They hit against the shelves. Cheaper Than Dirt was also the cheapest place I found for the Rack by $20.

This item did indeed provide more room in my gun safe and was easy to install, but did not include the document pouches mentioned in the advertisement. Pistol racks were also to large for my handguns to fit comfortably.
