Works as advertised. Opened the box, unfolded it, installed the rods and diffusers, popped in a battery, and was instantly taking readings. Then I read the instructions. :-)

a friend has one of these we use for our Paintball markers he told me $80 for this i could not belive it i have a hand held that cost that much and these are better

does just what it says, as long as the lighting is good. indoors we had to stand a ladder over it with a drop light in it for reliable reads. it refused to work under flourescent lighting (which it states in the manual) but outdoors or with incandescent light it works like a charm. great value for the price. easy to use once you get used to its lighting needs. I would recommend it as a first chronograph, or for light use.
