I have been using these at work for a couple of weeks now. while they don't reduce notice much (18 nrr by OSHA standards) they reduce it enough. I work in a welding shop that is best measured in acres then SQ footage, and even though the package says that all the metal could reduce the reception it still picks up stations just fine the down side is that the station dial is super sensitive. the slightest bump and I'm on a different station. The belt hanger is a lot tougher then it looks. When I took it out of the package my first thought was that they made it out of a coat hanger, but was I wrong! I forgot it on my belt after leaving work and got it hung up on the door frame of my car getting out. to my surprise it didn't bend at all, and I'm no small guy. I'm 6 foot 2 inches and 330 pounds. The battery life is good too. I use them about 11 hours a day 7 days a week and I'm still on my first set of AA's.

Got these for my husband to use at work while mowing and working on the golf couse greens. They are exactly what he needs and they work great.

21 NRR?? Works with a .22 I suppose, but if you're going to be shooting, say a .45 ACP, best put some plugs in along with these things or you'll be deaf for a few days.
