2.0 Rating Not quite what I expected - 10/10/2009
Reviewer: Mike
No markings found on the knife to identify it as Italian or navy. It appears old and the craftsmanship seems very inferior to typical Italian work. Knife blade is very dull. Marlin spike looks good and was why I bought the knife. Can opener appears to be sturdy. Overall, I am disappointed but will probably get my money's worth out of the marlin spike.

4.0 Rating Lets be fair - 10/21/2009
Reviewer: Tom
I bought this knife for rope knots. The price is great. Let’s be fair. The Knife is dull but so what, sharpen it!!! I sharpened mine and it took a nice edge. The knife seems very sturdy. It needs to be oiled and worked a bit. I have looked for a knife like this one before, but they were always too much money. A little tender care and you got yourself a great knife. All knifes need maintenance. Buy one for yourself, clean it up and you will be satisfied because you got a bargain.

1.0 Rating always check reviewson web site - 10/30/2009
Reviewer: ocddeerhunter
I will always check the reviews BEFORE BUYING anything from cheaper than dirt or anywhere eles .I did'nt check the review section on this knife until after I placed the order and was waiting for it to get here from u.p.s. first let me say that the OTHER ITEMS ON MY ORDER were so much better than I thought the'd be ,that I not even mad about the bad deal on these SO CALLED "KNIFES" . these are NOT USED KNIFES they are complete junk that NO NAVY WOULD ACCEPT DELIVERY ON ,MUCH LESS PAY FOR .THE ONLY USE FOR THESE ,WOULD BE AS FISHING SINKERS OR IF YOU KNOW ANY CIVIL WAR REENACTERS TO USE AS CANISTER SHOT FOR CANNON AMMO.The rivets that hold this "knife" togeather are so tight that I needed vise-grip pliers to open them (I paid for 3 fishing sinkers that LOOK like knifes silly me )so I could find out just how useless they are. The fingernail grooves in the blades are cut at an angle that no finger nail on a human could open them EVEN IF the rivets weren't toooo tight. The so called can opener blade could never have been used it would'nt have worked anyhow never was sharp ever. These so called knifes were made by someone with a hammer made from a rock and a stick and told that the knife would be used to kill him with when he got done making it, so he made it so badly that they killed him with his rock hammer instead because they could'nt have used this "knife".

4.0 Rating Sharpen it and drive on - 11/15/2009
Reviewer: blkrenegade
The knife was as dull as a hammer but I knew that before I ordered it. I spent a buck and took it to a pro to sharpen it now it has a great edge on it. I tried with a Lansky but got no where in 2 hrs but I didn't buy it to be a surgeons scalpel, I bought it to be a rough use knife that I would not be woried about loosing.
