I usually use Hoppes 9, but the smell usually bothers my wife when I use it. This stuff has little to no smell. It's great. The spray bottle is really handy too. That said, I cleaned something with a pad & swap until it the swap was coming up white. I dipped another swap in Hoppes 9 and the swab came out grey. So...it doesn't do AS good of a job, but it keeps the wife happy. I'm going to alternate cleaning between this and Hoppes 9.
