Designed for use by the Swiss Military for portability and operational security, it is perfect for heating food and water when a campfire is not an option.

Lightweight, 6.6 ounces, compact, closed measurements of 2.75" tall and 3" in diameter this stove kit is perfect for bug out bags, emergency kits, survival kits, backpacking, and all types of outdoor activities.

To use, simply remove steel burner from around can.
Remove green cap from top of can and rest can on cap or other heat resistant surface.
Puncture top metal membrane of can to expose gelled fuel.
Rest steel burner into rim on top of can.
Light gelled fuel using matches, lighter, fire steel or other striker.
To end use:
simply knock burner from top of can
rest green cap on can to extinguish flame
retighten cap and nest can inside burner.

Rubber seal inside lid keeps the gelled fuel from leaking or evaporating between uses.

Enough gelled fuel for approximately 2 hours burn time, and stove can hold up to 25 lbs of weight during use. Stove can be reused over and over until all fuel has been consumed. Does Not Include Matches

I bought these to use as a backup food heating source for a hiking trip. The unit I tried out lit immediately, and kept burning even in the strong wind. I filled a metal canteen base with water and set it on the burner. It was at a slow boilng within 15 minutes. Again, this was in strong winds without a wind barrier for most of the trial. The only part that is slightly disappointing is that heating this one container of water (enough for a package of Ramen noodles), took close to a half of the fuel. For the price, you can afford to buy a couple extra. Then, you're good to go. I'm going to pick up a few more!

I set it up with a 1qt pot on top, outdoors. It burned for just under an hour before going dead. The water steamed, but never boiled. Totally dissatisfied with it....

Guys and gals, I've been working on a stove for outdoor all weather use and was immediately sold on the idea of the Swiss Ranger Volcano Stove (also sold here at CTD) however when researching how to use the stove effectively I found people using wetfire, sticks, charcoal, and homemade alcohol drip systems with it. Then I came across this. Although CTD doesn't provide measurement specs on their site I watched Hirams youtube video on testing it and it sure looked like the right size for my Volcano stove. I received a M71 NOTKOCHER which is the same thing just a LOT older but it fit perfectly in the volcano stove and I'm betting I boiled water with it in about 3:30 minutes.

This is a pretty nice, compact little stove. If it weren't for the soot it gives off I would have rated it 5 bullets. But that can be taken care of by refilling it with something that doesn't soot up. I did a little review on YouTube if anyone wants to see it. By the way, the instructions on the fuel can translate out as: Operating Instructions: 1. Unscrew the swivel lid 2. Aluminum pierce membrane and remove Can not put on combustible surface 3. Put ring cooker, cookware set up and light it solidified alcohol Make use 1. Tilting hot cooker ring 2. Defer lid from the side, flame goes out Never blow out 3. after cooling lid tightening

I love this little stove! It was worth buying just for the burner atachement that I plan on re-using later for sterno cans.
