Micropur MP1 Water Purification Tablets
The only EPA-registered purification tablet on the market, Micropur MP1 treats water with chlorine dioxide, which is effective against viruses, bacteria, giardia and cryptosporidium. These tablets also improve the odor and taste of treated water. Each tablet treats one liter or quart of water. Each package contains 20 tablets. The instructions on the package says to allow 4 hours to dissolve before drinking. I will be getting another brand that takes less time to work. And keep these for a backup.

These things work pretty good. I used them quite a bit during the last month or so. these tablets dont make your water taste bad like the old tab did and they can work in 15 mins depending on the quality of the water. No wonder its standard issue with the US marines in our first aid kits.

Water still tastes a little funny, but I had no adverse affects from it. Each tablet is individually wrapped in foil, making it small enough to be added to any kit.
