I tested one of these by putting a tissue in one and then burying it in a distant location right before Hurricane Irene rolled in. After the hurricane left, I dug it up, and found the tissue PERFECTLY DRY. As the title says, these bags WORK. BUY THEM! You will NOT be disappointed!

I can't believe how well these work. I use these for keeping my gear dry when I go camping and hiking. These do much more than keeping your phone and socks fresh! I wish the plastic was a little thicker.

I use these on my boat for the registration and important papers, as well as to keep items dry while scuba diving, such as my wallet cell phone and a marine vhf handheld radio. I suggest that if you will use it for diving, you use a nylon cover over the bag to prevent it from being punctured or scuffed. I tested one by leaving 2 dry sponges and a lead sinker in one for 30 days @40 feet in San Francisco Bay. Sponges came out dry.
