AR-15 Custom Piston Upper Receiver Assembly with One Piece Bolt Carrier Group, 16" M4 Barrel and Adams Arms Gas Piston System

This complete upper uses a 16", 1:9" twist rate Civilian M4 Barrel and installs onto any AR-15 style lower without modification. The piston type gas system keeps hot gas, debris and powder residue from firing away from the rifle's bolt and carrier and improves reliability in harsh environments compared to direct impingement gas systems.

This was my first complete upper assembly. I was very pleased with the quality of fit and finish. I replaced the charging handle with a Gunfighter, and the foregrip with a MOE, and put it on a Del-Ton lower. I also used the ST-2 heavy buffer from Spikes because I heard it helps with carbine length piston uppers. The gun shoots great, and has reduced recoil. The best part about this system is the cleaning and lubrication is simple. I spray a light coat of CLP on the single piece bolt, and that's it. I can clean this weapon in 5 minutes, and it also runs cool. Overall, I would highly recommend the Adams Arms piston setup. The upper is a DPMS, and the barrel is a great finish. Very happy!
