Truly an axe. I put this on my Ruger SR-556 and it's absolutely sturdy and brutally simple. It's smaller than in the pictures, but not in a bad way. Good compartment space and the buttplate is solidly mounted into the stock. Storage slots for batteries (will not fit CR123s or CR2s sadly... think triple As or maybe matches?), main compartment for whatever else, the QD mounts are great. I'm thinking of trying to get a mag pouch on the side and use the top sling slot to secure it. This stock is smooth as silk, in function and in form. Cheek weld is excellent, and it feels like an extension of your face! I could seriously sleep on this stock! Excellent buy and worth every penny. This is my one go-to stock for all my ARs now.
