AR-15 piston systems have a higher profile than standard gas tubes, but Midwest Industries Gen 2 drop-in handguard rails can accommodate almost every piston system on the market. Their two-piece construction make installation a snap, and there's no gunsmithing required. A monolithic continuous top rail allows nearly any size optic or accessory to be installed, and four anti-rotation sockets accept quick-detach push-button sling swivels. The hard coated anodized 6061 aircraft aluminum rail is fully T-marked to allow you to return your optics to the same zero every time. Compatible with Stag, CMMG, Adams Arms, Ares, S&W, and LWRC piston systems. Will not work with Osprey piston systems. Total weight: 7.5 ounces, and measures 2¼" in diameter.

This is a rock solid quad rail. Quality is top notch. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I could not put it on myself even with the handguard tool. I had to have a gunsmith install it on my Colt AR-15 A3 carbine. Maybe it was just my rifle. Great product, highly recomended

The Midwest Industries Gen 2 drop in quad rail is a fantastic piece of equipment. I received my "quad" Friday, and promptly installed it onto my Stag Arms Model 8 piston rifle. It went on quite easily. I checked the fit to find out if it moved any. Let me tell you, this thing doesn't budge!! I installed my red dot sight, bridging the delta ring, and a magnifier onto the receiver. Took the completed setup out to my range and fed 300 rounds downrange. I removed the optics several times to see if they maintained their zero, and I'm pleased to say that the bullets hit their intended targets. For a relatively cost effective drop in system, as compared to more expensive free float designs, the MI quad rails are AMAZING!!! I would strongly recommend this excellently engineered and machined handguard to anyone in the market for a replacement to their stock units. You will not be disappointed!!

I bought this for my first AR build and like it. Looks very good and is for the most part rock solid. If you add a riser, you can hang it off of the flat top and extend it on to the rail. Works well. The QD mounts work well and allow 1/2 rotation out of them so your sling doesn't get bound up.

Very well manufactured. Very solid, and lightweight. It is unfortunate that I had to return this item; it is not compatible with my Bushmaster M4A3 gas piston carbine. The interior of the top rail does not allow sufficient clearance for the piston.

This thing is machined well, its fit is so tight that it was a PITA to install it without a delta ring tool, I've also bridged my eotech across it and it is tight and holds zero, I've tried to twist and tweak it with my foregrip but it wont budge, my only complaint if you wanna call it that, is that it is a PITA to get on and off but as solid as it is on my rifle its worth it. PS I installed this on a RRA LAR-15.

I bought a S&W M&P15 PS from CTD. I also bought this quad rail to replace the stock plastic forearm. I chose it because of its light weight and that it clears an Adam's piston setup. I am very pleased with it & love the 'monolithic' look. however, look is important since it is a free float rail, it does have some play, so, don't bridge your optics from receiver to forarm (eotechs are kinda long). As for weight, it feels a tiny bit heavier than the plastic it replaced, but, i doubt it would be noticed on a 7lb AR. The piece itself went on easily (I also purchased the ProMag PM009, Item: ARR-046) so I didn't need help installing. It feels very strong and my AR looks like it came from the factory with the quad rail. The finish and markings are perfect. No sharp points or areas of thin ano. I will consider other Midwest Industries products because of this.
