My Mil-Spec Magpul stock fit well on this buffer but the problem is the buffer tube would not thread into my lower. I tried it on three separate lowers (DPMS, Spike's Tactical, and AR57 brand) and it would only thread approx 3/4 of a turn before getting so tight that it wouldn't thread any further. Wasn't even getting close to the buffer spring retention pin, so was totally unusable. Not of any value if it doesn't fit the lower.

My GUNTEC receiver extension kit arrived yesterday and it looks great. It came with a buffer spring, castle nut, and end plate. Additionally, and unexpectedly, it came with a buffer sealed in the manufacturer's plastic sleeve. I only have two small complaints. One, I don't know of which kind of aluminum alloy the tube is made. Two, while I'm grateful to receive a buffer when I wasn't expecting one, I don't know anything about it (i.e. heavy, tungsten, etc.). I like to know everything. For the price though, it's not too shabby.
