Rated this sight as a four only because I haven’t shot with it yet. arrived at my house quickly and in good shape, mounted on my del-ton rail in seconds, extremely solid and easy mounting. All moving parts kind of stiff but would prefer that over too loose! So far extremely happy with this sight. don’t waste your money on any other sight!

Being a Former Infantry Marine, I'm skeptical to use anything that hasn’t passed the USMC test. But I could not be happier with this sight. I've put it through drop test not to exceed 9 feet, and it has maintained a BZO. Cheap or not, you can’t beat this sight. Will definitely buy again for next AR.

Knowing how to use this sight would have helped the people that have complained about it. I read one review that the guy was apparently trying to use this REAR sight for elevation....after that didn't work out so well, he started using the front sight for it...like he should have in the first place. The sight is to be zeroed at 25M. The knob starts at 8/3....800M to 300M. (those irons specifically for the M4 will have a Z position) Put it one click past 8/3 (in the full down position, not the elevated). After you have zeroed it at 25M, set the knob to 8/3 and you are now zeroed for 300M. Notice how it counts up from 8/3 to 4 to 5 to 6 to 7 to 8/3? Once it is zeroed properly to 300M, you can adjust the zero for distances up to 800M by dialing the distance on the rear sight. (M16A2 max effective range on point target 550, area target 800M) Use the large sight for low visibility, otherwise, use the small "peep" sight. This sight does exactly what it is supposed to do- nothing more, nothing less. (and for the price, you can't beat that). Hope this helps those of you that gave this sight a low rating or complained because you couldn't get it to work properly.

Works better than I expected for the price. It hold nice and tight. Very noticable "click" adjustments. The only downside was the lack of instructions on how to get it zero'd in. I was on paper with my first shot at 100yds so I guess its not too bad and if I need any further help sighting them in there are instructions all over the net.

I gave it 5 bullets because it is the best sight I've had for the money I spent. I put it on a picatinny-rail riser for my shotgun, and 30 slugs and skeet all day don't even begin to knock it out of alignment. The screws held fast with no loc-tite.
