I took this catcher to the range for the first time yesterday. It works very well. I was emptying after every 30 round clip, I figured since I'm stopping anyway. So I don't know how many it can handle. Did not take too long to figure a way to keep opening clear. I had no problems w/ spent cases' because they were going swish, nothing but net! Glad I picked this item up. Will recommend this.

This is a great accessory. There is very good front attachment support, but the rear tends to stay open and foul up operation, i.e. lose brass. Simple to fix. TIP: In the back section, punch two small holes into the thick fabric next to the wire frame with a paper hole-puncher (or ice pick or knife), then insert two short or long pony-tail holders -- stolen from your daughter's drawer, or bought for 99 cents from a beauty supply-- insert them into the small holes and loop them to secure them in place. Then pull the pony-tail holders and wrap them around any available "hook" such as your forward assist assembly, or over your rail and hooked to a riser knob, or even a side focus knob on a scope. Be patient and creative and you'll have it snug and secure. Oh, yeah, I stole the black ones so they would match the catcher, but red ones or silver one might look cool.

As mentioned in other reviews the bag does not stay in place well. It is ok for the range. It could really use some modifications at the rear of the bag and top for anchor points. It does save some time from searching the range for brass, so its ok in my book.

This works great. It doesn't catch every round, but the five or so that hit the ground out of a 30 round clip are always right below you. So even when the apparatus fails, it prevents the brass from being launched several feet away where it is harder to find.

We shall see how it does next time I shoot. If it doesnt catch it, it looks like it will at least keep it in the same general area so the brass will be easier to find.
