This is great! It shoots real tight patterns. You couldn't tell if it was damage caused by a slug. Even from 25 yards away the pattern seem tight. I could tolerate the recoil and keep the weapon on target for my follow up shot.

I use this ammo for home defense. In a Mossy 500, it gives tight patterns with no strays, good price, feeds reliably. I buy this and shoot it a lot.

Good ammo. Should be very good for self defense. Regarding the other two reviews. I have a hard time putting any faith in reviews from people who can't/don't use any punctuation in their reviews. I mean, what are they thinking? It is annoying to read something like " good ammo I used it to kill a dear he ran for forty yards the only ammo I thought was better was 000 my Mossberg 590A likes it more I used to use Remington but I think my 590 likes Federal better the recoil is hard but hey what do you expect top notch ammo here I would not use anything else I like the tight pattern my 590 shoots a wider pattern than my 500 kinda dirty though but not really a problem you get what you pay for for those who don't use punctuation - that is how annoying your reviews are. Do you speak like that too? Ugghh!!!

I keep this ammo with my shotgun for personal defense u really don't want to fire a slug it will likely continue farther than you'd like. great reliable ammo i use it in my short barrel shot guns for skeet shooting too a little pricey but at the range bird shot wont cut it on occasion with a short gun.

this product is very good it does the job and its worth the money i shot a 12 piont buck from 80 yrds away and it only ran 30 yrds from were i shot it this ammo rocks
