4.0 Rating Decent Ammo - 2/12/2012Ammo .308 Winchester BVAC FMJ 150 Grain 250 Round Value Pack 2801 fps BiMetal Jacket Inspected Once Fired Brass4.0000

I had some trepidation about ordering and using this ammo beause of some of the negative reviews. I did, however, beause of the price. On a recent trip to a shooting facility I frequent, I took a couple of the bulk packs for testing. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I've been having problems with my DPMS LR308 (16" bbl with collapsible stock that I replaced with an A2 solid) failing to extract and eject correctly. It happens with any ammo I feed it, and turned out to be a timing problem. In any case, I tried it with new Magpul magazines and the BVAC cartridges. After getting a 100-yard zero, I put the Aimpoint on the 200-yard swinging steel target and was overjoyed to find that I could hold dead on and just swat the heck out of it. After all the grief I've had with it, it was pure joy to ring sttel as fast as I could pull the trigger. I DID have two malfunctions, neither of which was ammunition-related. This stuff shoots... flat, clean and accurately. I then switched to my GA Precision bolt gun, and was pleasantly surprised to find I was getting 1 MOA groups out of this "bulk" ammo. No chambering, firing or extraction issues. Was not able to get any dope past 100, due to time constraints, but will in the future and share it here. All in all, I LIKE this. It ain't match ammo, but it'll do to take down the river.

Wish i would have bought more german battle packs. Anyway, ordered this ammo, haven't shot it yet but it looks great. well polished and 95% of brass is lake city. I am posting to give a common problem to people with new ar-10's. before you take your gun to mr. smith or complain about ammo, check your gas block. they are not torqued from factory. ps. I rated it 5 on looks only. i will rate again once i fire it.
5.0 Rating BEST bang for the buck - 2/4/2012Ammo .308 Winchester BVAC FMJ 150 Grain 250 Round Value Pack 2801 fps BiMetal Jacket Inspected Once Fired Brass5.0000

I went through a box of these with a brand spankin' new M1A. Even when I used Taiwanese magazines, I had not a single misfeed. This ammo is clean firing (at least compared to Russian junk), reliable, and the correct weight for my M1A. If your rifle isn't cycling this stuff, you probably need to fix your rifle. Unfortunately, this stuff is hard to find in bulk.
1.0 Rating First box great second very disappointing - 1/29/2012Ammo .308 Winchester BVAC FMJ 150 Grain 250 Round Value Pack 2801 fps BiMetal Jacket Inspected Once Fired Brass1.0000

The first box of this ammo worked great. The second was too short, the casing would jam in the camber of my Rem 700 and my LAR8. I found the casing and the slug to be shorter than the previous box that I had purchased. I guess you get what you pay for. Don't buy cheap ammo if you want it to perform.
5.0 Rating problems fixed - 1/9/2012Ammo .308 Winchester BVAC FMJ 150 Grain 250 Round Value Pack 2801 fps BiMetal Jacket Inspected Once Fired Brass5.0000

I bought these to break in a new DPMS LR308 and new scope. I was having problems with miss feeding about 10% of the rounds, did some reading of other reviews and searched reviews of DPMS rifles and found others with similar issues with their rifles and suggestions on bending tabs on the magazines. So I researched other magazine manufactures and found high reviews on Magpul magazine and some even saying these fixed their feeding problems. Ordered 2 new magazines and used then today with no more problems with this ammo and would now reccommend this ammo for fun/cheap shooting. Also the rifle is much more fun to shoot as well.
