Federal Gold Medal Match .308 Winchester ammunition with 168 grain Sierra MatchKing boat tail hollow point bullet, 2650 fps, 20 round box.

There is no room for error. In twenty one hundredths of a second, the outcome is decided. In no other police encounter are the stakes this high. You get one shot. It has to be perfect. No questions. Skill, rifle and ammunition must work together to obtain the maximum result. The police marksman must know, time and again, exactly where the round will impact. That's why you choose Gold Medal Centerfire Rifle - legendary for extreme accuracy, shot after shot, lot to lot. It has become the choice of police marksman and competition shooters alike - and for good reason. Gold Medal is made specifically for the most demanding situations. The aerodynamic design of the legendary Sierra MatchKing bullet helps overcome wind resistance and wind drift. This means flatter trajectory, higher downrange energy and more accurate placement. Gold Medal's brass cases, stick powders and match primers are specifically selected and engineered to deliver consistent accuracy and performance. The results speak for themselves.

I shoot a Remington 700 SPS Tactical, and this is the only ammunition that this gun shoots .25 MOA with. The accuracy and consistency is tremendous.

I use an M14 on a bipod with an arms #18 mount topped with a 10-42X50 scope w/ illuminated reticle (basically an M21). 20 shots spaced over the course of two and a half hours. At 150 yards I left a silver dollar sized hole in between the eyes where 19 out of 20 shots struck. I threw one shot (the 12th one) two inches low and right and I knew I did it the second I pulled the trigger. This is the most consistent stuff I've ever fired.

I use this ammo in my Savage Model 10 BAS-K. Shooting off bi-pod or bags you can easily fill up one hole at 200 yards. My first 500 yard attempt with this weapon yielded a 3 inch group. Different weapons like different ammo. The GMM is very very consistent and accurate when used with this weapon.

I bought a couple boxes to break in a new rifle barrel about 4 years ago; Tikka T3 ultra lite Stainless (mountain gun for deer); at 100 yds, all the bullet holes overlapped, with the gun right out of the box, group after group. Since have run a variety of ammo thru that gun including maybe 100 rounds of 35 year old NATO ammo which probably wasn't wise as it was pretty tight in the chamber head. Again Recently, Ran 10 rounds of the 168 Grain Federal Gold Match though it . At 100 yards all bullet holes overlapped, again. 1-2 minutes between firing and swabbed the barrel after each 5 rounds. Anyway, works for me. Not sure if all Tikka rifles shoot this well, it's a midprice entry level rifle, or I just got the lucky one out the factory door. Likely will use the Barnes bullets and Berger bullets for deer and elk from here on out. But the Sierra Match King 168 grain has worked well for me on targets.

I have shot nothing but Silver Bear though my AR 10 T until trying Federal Gold Medal Match. With the Silver Bear I had pretty good groups. With the reviews the Federal has I expected better groups, but that did not happen. My groups got worse with this ammo.
