Many strongly believe the .223 is too small for deer. Well, with good bullet placement and bullet designed for the task, the .223 works well. With this 62 grain bullet, I just shot a large doe at 220 yards. The bullet tore her heart to shreds (and butterflied it), and the exit wound was impressive. Yes, she ran 50 yards, but I've seen that happen with a .308, .270, and 45-70.

This is a great bullet for whitetail deer. I shot my first deer with this ammo at 85 yards in the neck and it dropped were it stood.
