I just fired the first 10 rounds of the stuff. Out of those 10, I already had one FTF (and my gun has only had about 50 rds through it, so I know it isn't the gun). I didn't mind because I was target shooting, but I purchased 60 rounds and plan to hunt with it. I really hope it was just an isolated mishap. If I had been sighted on a huge buck, I would have been extremely upset. Gives me less confidence in carrying this ammo for protection/hunting. Disappointment.

I measured the energy at 1,800 ft-lbs. Less than advertised, but quite honestly, it still made my hand and forearm hurt, despite being a power lifter. This ammo is as hot as you could possibly want it. You will only shoot 5 shots per week. Shot #1 - WoW Shot #2 - Ouch Shot #3 - This is starting to really hurt Shot #4 - I hope that was the last one Shot #5 - I'm not shooting this again any time soon. No point in buying more expensive ammo.

As many may know, I review ammo from CTD very often, as well as other stores. I have shot many different types of ammo and the .500 is no stranger now. I bought two boxes of this ammo and was landing well within established standards at 100 yards from my S&W 500. I still need to do a little more sighting in on the revolver, but it moved exactly the amount I adjusted each time. Great ammo, BVAC. You may have a returning customer!
