I tested and researched a lot of hollow points for personal protection. This one came out on or near the top in every category. And CTD sells for almost half the price of local retailers. No need to look anywhere else.

My choice for self defense, as a Rem's bullet shape will always feed. I recently purchased 4 boxes and noted that one box contained 7 rounds with the nose smashed flat about .040" (but bullet was correct into brass) and one round with a very major dent in the side of the cartridge. Shot the flats for practice and saved the dented. These were the first bad Rems I have ever had in 3 decades, so I am giving Rem. the benefit of the doubt and continuing my brand loyalty. Yes, I will purchase again.

I bought this in conjunction with the Magtech +P HP rounds. These are great rounds. Plenty of power and accurate. However, I prefer the magtech slightly over these rounds.

This is a good load for shorter barrels. I use it in my Glock 30 and was impressed with the power and accuracy. Seems to give POA = POI that 230 grain load in my glock.

CTD has an incredible price for Golden Saber ammo. Picked up 500 rds. of this and 500 rds. of 357. Through thousands of rounds of Remington in my pistols and revolvers Remington just prove themselves time after time to be the go-to bullet. The 45+P is a devastating round and feeds flawlessly in my Kimbers. You wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of this round.
