This is nice quality ammo, but not for a 1911. The bullet does not taper down much. I tried it in my Rock Island 1911, Remington R1, and Taurus PT 1911. They gave me trouble chambering the first round. Every other round failed to feed. The nose of the round hits the feed ramp and doesn't feed up into the chamber. Only ammo I have had problems with. These guns have fed every other round I have put in them. This worked fine in the Springfield XD.

Tried them out. Excellent accuracy! Expansion not consistent. Example three shots: 1. bullet totally destroyed, 2. bullet expanded like on the box, 3. bullet did not expand at all. In most cases, the little red "expander" came through undamaged.

Bought five boxes of this ammo to try out. Cheapest quality .45 HP you can get. 1 inch group, point of aim at 15 yrds, out of a Glock 21. This is as good as it gets for me out of any handgun. Mild recoil and no cycling issues. Ordered 10 more boxes. Get it while you can.
