I went through a box of this a while back and made the mistake of shooting it at an indoor range. After 30 rounds the smoke nearly suffocated me and I was coughing up black soot on the way out. When I tried again at an outdoor range, the experience was much more pleasant. All the rounds fired and hit the target. Plus this is a good price for American manufactured ammo in a caliber that is getting hard to find.

Shot a box of this out of my Ruger Flattop. Easy-recoiling load. Nice semi-wad cutter shape. Can't beat the price. It was more accurate than the other brand that I was shooting. Every brand I shoot seems dirty to me. I wish BVAC offered this @ 950 FPS.

The best way to describe this ammo is "okay." It shoots like it should and sells for a decent price. It is especially good for someone who might not be comfortable with the recoil of a standard .44 as it has a significantly softer kick than I am used to. The only problem I have has been mentioned by other reviewers: it is really, really, dirty. Using this ammo essentially triples the time it usually takes me to clean my gun. So, while it is a good value, I'd rather pay the extra couple bucks and save myself the clean-up time. How much do you value your time? It's up to you...

Is it a bit dirty? Yes it is. But for the price, you cant go wrong. It's the best possible value out there. It works equally well in the Redhawk and SBH. It's so mellow in the recoil catagory that my 5 ft. 2 inch tall wife is hitting center ring at 25 yards. Goes bang every time.

A great price for a hard to find round. The shells all shot great today. The only bad thing is the stainless gun was black by the time we got done shooting. Every shot fired like it should have so I cant complain. Just clean your gun really good and you will be fine.

This is excellent plinking ammo. My Ruger Sheriffs Model, Gary Reeder El Diablo and Smith 21 all love it. I've just restocked so I can try it in my S&W 24 and some 44 magnums.
