4.0 Rating Not for Semi actions! - 11/15/2010
Reviewer: Fireguy
I'll start with the pluses: this ammo arrived in great condition, shoots clean, and appears to be accurate. And best of all, it's a great price! I will buy more, but...you should only use this ammo in revolvers or leverguns. This ammo failed to cycle my Desert Eagle's action 9 times out of 10, when other 240-grain loads did so just fine. The difference in recoil was also substantial, with this ammo feeling a bit underpowered. Don't get me wrong, this would be great practice ammo for revolvers and maybe even great defense ammo if you're not interested in the recoil that some 44Mag loads have...however, be forewarned that this ammo is not for semiauto guns.

1.0 Rating Maybe for a revolver! - 2/16/2011
Reviewer: DaSandmanCometh
I bought this to use with my 44 mag Desert Eagle. Well I'll admit it looks like great stuff, but it doesn't perform like it. I had so many problems with this stuff shooting last Sunday, it didn't have enough punch to cock the gun after a shot half the time. At least once every clip it couldn't even get the spent casing to eject. It was just awful trying to fire this stuff. Not to mention that this stuff was so dirty, my gun was just nasty after firing just 50 rds of this stuff. It might work good for a revolver, but I won't buy it for my Eagle again again. Several times I loaded a clip of another brand of rds and had no problems, proving it was this ammo.

5.0 Rating Good shooting. - 2/26/2011
Reviewer: JMcD
Used these in my new Taurus Raging Bull. The first time out, after a few sight-in shot and practice in DA shooting, I was able to hit the 6" gong at 100 yards, 5 out of 8 shots. Ammo seemed consistent, and wasn't particularly dirty. Extraction was normal. Cases are nice shiny brass that will be good for reloading. This ammo is NOT "Full-Power" ammo--for that you will want the baseline 240gr@1400fps loads. So I wouldn't expect this to perform in autos, but it works just fine in revolvers. In any case, this ammo is really good value, and I'd recommend buying it while it lasts (for you revolver shooters who don't reload :) ).

5.0 Rating Very Good Rounds - 3/1/2011
Reviewer: Shanglee
I have purchased more than 8 boxes of this ammo to be fired in my Ruger Super Redhawk .44 Magnum and it performs great and on target at the range and woods (I am not the best shooter in the world). I have used other brands at higher prices and they get dirty too. That's the beauty of firing a gun, the sound (be sure to protect the ears and eyes), but once in a while you just got to hear a few bang, bangs and man the clean up and a little ole dirt is what makes shooting enjoyable. At least I can my wife...I need to clean my gun...after being gone half of the day.

1.0 Rating does not work - 3/4/2012
Reviewer: 2towz
I recently purchased 500 rounds of 44 mag ammo to use in my desert eagle and I will have to say that the results are extremely disappointing. The ammo does not have the powder charge to allow the next round to chamber. It will work well in a 44 revolver, just not in a desert eagle. Barnes and Hornady and Winchester ammo work extremely well.
