These would be my choice for conceal carry in a 9mm (I carry .40S&W Glock 27/23 gen 4 with 165 gr Golden Saber JHP). Low recoil , low muzzle blast, accurate, penetration in gallon filled jugs was 17.5 inches average, in a Glock 19 gen 3 and a 19 gen 4 ave vel was 1130 fps(muzzle energy is 351 at this vel.)The core separated some times and sometimes not, but no fragmentation. Lighter bullets hit harder, but blew up and didn't penetrate, heavier bullets penetrated, but lack of hydrostatic shock. Just a down to earth solid performer at a good- no great price. Buying more for my daughter and wife, is there any other higher compliment?

Very happy with the +P ammo for my Gen 4 Glock 19. Low muzzle flash and low recoil. Best price out there. Cheaper Than Dirt was quick as usual.

This Golden Saber ammo is clean, accurate and has consistent and reliable expansion. That is definitely on the affordable end of the spectrum in terms of quality self-defense/duty ammo. I was originally looking for some Speer Gold Dots or some Cor-Bon +P self-defense ammo, but both of those proved to be a little to expensive to justify. The Golden Saber ammo performs very well and is affordable, that is a winning combo. One caveat, though, despite being +P ammo, this stuff is a bit lighter than other factory +P ammo I've shot before. While I don't see it being an issue, if you're looking for something that is going to hit 1,300 FPS muzzle velocity and 400 foot pounds of energy or something, this isn't the ammo for you. However, since it is more tame than some other self-defense ammo, it makes follow up shots easier for me and it's also easier for my wife to shoot this stuff, she gets a little scared by some hotter ammos out there, but she really loves this stuff (someday she'll be on the .44 Magnum though!). It functions perfectly in my Glock 19 Gen 4, which is my current conceal carry and nightstand pistol. This ammo will be riding in my Glock for a long while, with the economy how it is lately, having an affordable yet high quality self-defense ammo is important to me.

This ammo rocks! Manageable recoil, excellent expansion, good feeding, very clean, and has EXCELLENT stopping power! Fed great through my brand new Ruger P95. I highly recommend this round for anyone serious about carrying a 9mm for protection!

Shot 10 rounds to test them out because this is what I keep in the mags for my 92fs; fed reliably, shot accurately and ejected reliably. slightly heavier grain than average, higher +P velocity and serrated hollow point should prove to be a great defense round if I ever need to call upon it
