This is reliable, high-quality 9mm carry ammo. Sure, there's cheaper out there, but you don't need that much, and you're buying a lot of quality for your dollar. For the money, it surpasses all the necessary benchmarks and easily earns the five-bullet rating.

Most accurate commercial pistol ammo I have ever shot, both in 124 gr 9mm and 230 gr .45. I have run 500 rounds of each thru my pistols. Note: This older style of Hydra Shok hollowpoint will normally fail to expand after going thru denim or thick clothing. It will penetrate both sides of a tire at the range on a repeatable basis. Expands wonderfully on lightly clothed targets. Accuracy is this ammo's selling point. Federal has come out with a newer style of Hydrashok that expands better.

This Hydra Shok 124 grain federal ammo is possibly the most accurate for the money, although the price is increasing. What`s the price really matter when your life, or one of your loved one`s is on the line. I`ve shot it out of my Glock 27 & Kahr PM9 & at age 61, after having my arm & hand in a cast for almost 3 months I went to the range last week & shot for a couple of hours for the first time in 16 months; I had no problem controlling my shots in either gun. Very accurate & well worth the money for an expanding Hydra Shok bullet that will get the job done!
