Tried this in several revolvers (.38 Special). Recommend a 3" barreled gun or longer. Inconsistent velocity in shorter guns. 970 average from my 3" MOD 10. No extraction problems. Appears to be good quality for the price. Not as precise as Remington Golden Sabres, but very good for close range work. Shot one full box, and am using the second box for my house gun (short range working pistol). Overall 3 bullets. Probably will buy one more box to confirm my findings.

First time I bought BVAC .38 Special ammo, it smoked so bad I thought I was shooting a black powder gun. I purchased the 125 grain JHP this time, giving BVAC another chance, and I won't do it again. After firing these, they all swelled up and I had to use pliers to extract the spent brass. I'm glad I didn't depend on them for personal protection, because I wouldn't have been able to reload. The .38 Special revolver I have had no troubles with other brands. I basically wasted two boxes just to get rid of them.

After reading the previous reviews I was expecting a lot of smoke from this round,but the batch I received shot clean with very little smoke. Plus the bullet in the pic for the .38 Special BVAC, 125 Grain, Jacketed Hollow Point is not what you receive,you get a much better Segmented Hollow Point!5***** all the way and will be buying more soon! CTD also shipped it very quickly.

Ammo passed reliability and function test with flying colors. Great accuracy and power for a 38 Spcl loading. This coupled with the low price compared to larger Ammo makers make this a killer deal in today's ammo market prices! I will definitely be stocking up!

I just got back from running two 50 round boxes through my Ruger GP 100. I had one FTF, recycled it in the next load and it fired. The accuracy seemed ok. I'll continue to order this stuff for practice.

I don't know if I've ever bought factory ammo that performs this good. It performs as good as "Big Money" ammo can. Nothing beats handloads, but this is a close second in my opinion. Give Bitterroot Valley a "shot" and I'll think you'll be glad you did.

Took a box of these out to the range the other day, and they we're great. Fired from a S&W 4" Model 64. Accurate, cheap, and a little smoky. No FTF. Will be using these as my carry rounds when I carry my revolver.

i bought 200 rnds of this stuff - great accuracy , no ftf's , and its priced right all rounds were shoot out of a ruger speed six with a 4in barrel i give it 4 out of 5 starts because its a little on the dirty side
