Shot 100 of these out of a Sig P238 HD. All cycled perfectly. HP for a dollar more a box is a good bargain. Beats range ammo FMJ prices by $4 a box.

I bought a few boxes of this ammo for my CCW pistol (SW380 aka Sigma). I've always used FMJ rounds in it but decided that I needed to find a decent JHP round for it. These rounds fed properly every time I've used them and always have similar trajectories and points of impact at 5-10 yards. I understand that .380 isn't considered a large round, but for a small CCW footprint, I feel much better knowing that I have hollow points to back me up! I will be buying many more boxes of these bullets!

I recently bought two new CZ83 .380ACP pistols. Classic proven design & all steel construction. I bought 1000 rounds (second purchase) to use in a review of the pistol and this ammo design by BVAC. Bench rest testing at 25yds in hand on sandbags gave a consistent sub-2 inch 5 shot group. Recoil and muzzle blast was very acceptable for an obvious defensive chambering. Using a Ransom Rest at the same 25yds, 5 shot groups were measured in at 1.1" worst grouping and .72" best grouping. Ballistic Gelatin in 2-gallon plastic jugs rendered basically the same results as my previous review; very good expansion and weight retention; penetration is well into the second jug (12"w x 12"d x 14"h) for a total of 16.7" deep. Expansion was consistent at .472"; weight retention of 85 gr. average. The ammo is very clean burning and now after 1500 rnds shot, ZERO problems! Highly recommend this ammo, and it IS MY CCW ammo for my .380. Great stuff BVAC!

Purchased this along with 8 other types of .380 to evaluate in my new Walther PK380, and also to test in my Keltec P3AT. It fired flawlessly through the PK380 and my wife rated it as best in terms of flash/perceived recoil among 4 different defensive loads. The best part for me is that a box of 50 costs about the same as boxes of 20 of other "premium" self-defense loads. This means that I can afford to shoot LOTS of the ammunition that I plan to carry, rather than worrying about spending a lot to practice. Highly recommended!

The BVAC Xtreme Defense .380 ACP ammo is extremely accurate, clean burning, and very affordable. I purchased a new CZ 83 .380 Semi-Automatic Pistol and needed to "break" it in. I have had very good experience with other BVAC Calibers and figured it would be a good choice for this pistol. I was not wrong. 500 rounds shot through it today without a FTF, FTE. No under-powered rounds. All shots landed within 2 1/4" grouping from 20 yards. After initial breakin, I set up some 2 gallon jugs filled with a ballistic gelatin. I lined up three jugs and from 15 feet fired into the jugs. Penetration was through the first jug and about 2/3 of the way through the second jug. Expansion was about 50% to .47 inch; weight scaled in at 87 gr. The ammo demonstrated very good penetration and expansion for a "mouse" gun caliber... Make that a "Mouse that Roars"! I am very pleased with the performance and affordability of this ammo and will now consider it the only ammo that I will use for my .380 ACP.

I have a Hellcat .380 which is a really accurate shooting gun, but can be a little stubborn with the type of ammo it likes to eat. The BVAC cycled flawlessly every round and was accurate. CTD is selling this defense round for less then I can go and get a box of fmj. Plus the shipping was quick and on schedule. Will definitely buy more from CTD.

My new Kahr .380 likes this round best. Fortunatly it is a good self defence round as well as reasonably priced for practice. It's best to use the same round for breakin & practice and for defence carry, and this is it!! Jon.

This BVAC is my carry ammo for my Kel Tec P3AT and has never jammed or misfired! Ammo comes new and clean with brass jacket! This round is cheaper than round nose from any local store. Cheap enough for practice!

Bought a box on CTD just to try it out in my new Taurus TCP. Feeds smooth and goes bang every time. At these prices you can afford to target practice with hollow-point which is most likely what you carry for self-defense. I'm going to order a lot more of this ammo. Had occasion to email Bitterroot customer service and found them to be friendly & responsive. A great AMERICAN company producing a great AMERICAN product!!!

100% so far in first box, excellet groups at 10 yds with LCP. Shot little lower than other brand FMJ at that distance but does not concern me. This along with the price makes it a 5 for me. Will continue to buy if performance continues the same.

Failed to eject 1 out of 3-4 rounds in my new Walther PK380. To be fair, need to try other ammo in this weapon before I condemn it completely, but unfortunately did not take other brands to the range nor did I take my other 380 (WW2 Baretta) that will fire anything without a problem.

Was greatly looking forward to this ammo. About 7 rounds in the box were undercharged, noticablly low pop, and didnt cycle the weapon. Just glad I didnt get a squib.
