4.0 Rating Great shell for price - 1/6/2010
Reviewer: Jimmy Cecil
I bought a box of these for my 357 magnum. I have not had the chance to shoot them yet but they are a good looking shell. I did some research and people who buy them say they are great shells when it comes to performance. I expected some dirty old brass considering the fact that they are all reloads, but they look brand new. I will buy more. You honestly can’t beat the price these days. Shells have gone through the roof.

4.0 Rating Pretty Cases, but a Light .357 Load - 5/18/2010
Reviewer: Smurf Hunter
As a disclaimer I'm new to the 357 magnum caliber, and have limited experience with different rounds. I ordered these for use in my 6" GP100. Every shot fired reliably and the brass was in fine condition. Based on the description I expected tarnished shells, but all of these appeared new. In the same order I also picked up a box of BVAC 38spl wad cutters. I'm of the opinion that this 357mag load is only slightly hotter than a 38+p. As a comparison I fired some "Buffalo Bore" with nearly identical bullet and those make twice the "bang". Price was decent. Accuracy was better than I am. Brass will be saved. Does not appear to be a "full" 357 magnum load. Good for plinking, but I can save $5/box and get 38 special. I'd be interested in seeing chronograph tests for this ammo. Maybe these do fly, but magically don't recoil. Hard for me to tell shooting paper.

1.0 Rating Not JHP - 6/12/2010
Reviewer: Concerned Consumer
I am writing this review to let people know that what they are buying is NOT a JHP round, it is a SEMI-JACKETED hollow point. All the other ammo makers correctly describe their product, but not BVAC. I have sent several emails to BVAC asking about this misleading advertising, but I have yet to get a response from them. I have not shot the ammo yet, but I think that if you are selling a "Semi-Jacketed" round you should advertise it as such. I will not be buying any more BVAC ammo. They can't be trusted as far as I am concerned.

1.0 Rating .357 Magnum 158 grain JHP - 7/21/2010
Reviewer: d shaw
I bought 250 rounds of this ammo, hoping for the best. I shot it through my S&W 686. I had to pull the trigger at least 12 times to fire 6 rounds every time. The primers would dent but the round would not fire. This was the situation with all 5 boxes. Bad primers? I don't know but I will not bet my life on this ammo. In all fairness, I had 1 box of their 230 gr. 45 acp ammo and had no problems what so ever.

2.0 Rating hard primers - 4/21/2011
Reviewer: sdkot
Recently fired a box at the range through a Taurus 605. Every third shot would not fire though the primers were dented. The dents however were not as deep on the non firing rounds and would still not fire on a second strike.
