Have run about 200 rounds through my AR so far without an issue that I created. Very accurate, tracing questionable. Ammo stinks. No, it doesn't stink, but it stinks.

When I bought mine, there were only a couple bad reviews. I have never had any issues with blown primers in my Colts, so I thought people were using the common cheap non-chrome lined, mismatched part kit AR-15s. I was wrong. When you hear the horror stories from early Vietnam soldiers about their new M16 rifles constantly jamming and getting their buddies killed, this must have been the problem. Mine was stamped '68. I thought that was cool, but it's not. 80 percent of the primers blew out in 5 boxes. This was from two Colts and a Smith & Wesson, all chrome lined. It is Lake City, but back then, Winchester Olin ran the plant and it has the W.C.C. head stamp. Federal has run it for years and has always had an excellent product. I know it was wrong but I traded the remainder of mine for some wolf to someone who thought he was ripping me off, but I didn't want to absorb the loss.

Do not buy this ammo. Within 60 rounds, I had about 10 jams, one of which damaged my rifle. I collected the brass, and found 12 primers had popped out. Called CTD, and luckily they are taking up the issue with Lake City. Not sure why this product is still available.
1.0 Rating It's cheap for a reason.. - 8/27/2012Surplus 5.56 NATO Tracer M196 FMJ 55 Grain 720 Round Can 3200 fps1.0000

This ammunition is very old, not sure how old but I know it is. You can notice the color of the ammo can, the newer boxes are a lighter shade than the older ones. Out of 20 rounds I had 3 popped primers, one of which got into my lower receiver and under my trigger, preventing further use..I had to open my rifle and shake it out. Some rounds did trace but not all, note that they're advertised to trace after 50 yards, I was shooting at 100. Some traced right out the barrel and some ignited upon hitting the berm. Not worth it, now I'm stuck with a bunch of crap ammo. Please don't buy it, you'd be better off buying 1000 of some cheap steel cased ammo.
