Tried because of the price. Got one round out of the mag and it wouldnt feed next round. Loaded a mag with Remmingtons fired no problem.

I fired 200 rounds and after that, every other round jammed. It's a dirty cheap round. I wouldn't recommend the steel case.

I shot about 200 rounds through my mini 14 the weekend with only 1 malfunction. For less than 5 bucks a box I would buy these again.

I was wary of this Russian ammo at first, after experiencing problems with Silver Bear in Stag-15 some years ago. This time around however it proved itself an excellent choice. I think the problems some people experienced might be due to the .223 Remington chamber (tighter dimensions) as opposed to 5.56 NATO chamber. I used this ammo in a 5.56 NATO rifle with chrome-lined chamber, JP Enterprises "enhanced" bolt and slick "tactical" bolt carrier. I only had one failure to eject out of 100 rounds, and it was the last round coming out of the old GI magazine.

Bought 200 rounds of this stuff after reading every review I could find. Noticed that most of the folks with AR's experienced issues with this stuff, but figured my Mini-14 would have no problems. Wrong! Went through 90 rounds and had to manualy cycle the bolt for every round. Didn't seem to have enough charge to cycle the bolt. I had zero issues with all other brands (fired 400 rounds or so of various ammo). My weapon was new. Might give the last 110 rounds another shot after breaking the rifle in some more. Buy at your own risk
